We own the truck. You operate it. We meter actual run-time via IoT and bill for hours used. PM, repairs, parts, and a loaner if it’s down > 48 hrs — all included. From $420/mo base + $2.85/operating hour.
Traditional rental bills you the same whether you ran the truck 200 hours or 1,000. That math hurts the operator who’s efficient — the one who runs single-shift, keeps batteries topped up, and parks the truck overnight. Hour-based metering says: you don’t pay when the truck doesn’t work. Light months stay light. Heavy months scale up. The truck still gets PM’d and repaired by us — bundled into the base.
Pick from the rental fleet — 12 truck classes covering electric, LP, diesel, and aerial.
Truck arrives same-day within 30 mi (per the delivery promise) with the IoT hour meter pre-installed and reporting.
Run the truck as you would any rental. The meter logs engine-on / key-on hours and reports to our portal hourly.
Monthly invoice = base fee + (hours × per-hour rate). One line for the base. One line for the meter total. PM/parts/labor bundled in.
Hour-based base: $420/mo. Per-hour rate: $2.85/hr. Traditional flat monthly for this class: $1,950/mo.
| Monthly hours | Profile | Hour-based total | Traditional flat | Difference |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| 200 hrs | Light · single-shift, low cycles | $990 | $1,950 | −$960 saved |
| 500 hrs | Standard · single-shift, regular use | $1,845 | $1,950 | −$105 saved |
| 800 hrs | Heavy · 1.5-shift or multi-station | $2,700 | $1,950 | +$750 more |
| 1,200 hrs | Continuous · 2-shift, multi-operator | $3,840 | $1,950 | +$1,890 more |
Breakeven: ~537 operating hours/month. Under that, hour-based wins. Over it, traditional flat usually wins — and that’s the signal to talk about Total Coverage™ instead.
Scheduled PM at OEM-recommended intervals. Filters, fluids, brake checks — done by our techs, at our cost.
Mechanical failures: parts and labor included. Operator damage (forks through racking, collisions) is billed separately.
If we can’t restore the truck inside 48 business hours, a loaner arrives at no extra base fee. Hours meter switches to the loaner.

IoT-metered billing is operationally new for us. We want the first cohort to be close partners we can iterate with — on the meter, the portal, and the invoice format. In exchange: the rate you sign at is the rate you keep for 12 months, regardless of how the program evolves.
5 slots. 12-month locked rate. We respond within a business day with a meter-install date and the pilot contract.
